Key Stage 5

Key Stage 5 students attending Mulberry UTC will study a combination of A-levels and technical qualifications, ensuring they are well prepared for university study and for their future careers.

Students will study either a Level 2 or Level 3 technical qualification alongside 1, 2 or 3 A- levels, depending on a student’s future plans.

All Key Stage 5 students will choose from one of the following specialist technical courses:

  • Creative and digital media
  • Performing and production arts
  • Healthcare
  • Health science
  • Business

Students wishing to apply to study at Level 3 must meet the following entry requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grade 4 or higher with English and maths or equivalent
  • Grade 5 at GCSE for A Level subjects

Students wishing to apply for Level 2 courses will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 or equivalent, including English and Maths.

The following A-levels are available to Level 3 students:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • English Literature
  • Film Studies
  • Maths
  • Psychology
  • Sociology

We will also offer Level 3 students opportunities to take:

  • Level 3 Extended Project
  • GCSE English and Math resits

After finishing at the UTC, students can progress into university, further training, an apprenticeship or directly into employment.
